Dubliner release 10 year old single malt whiskey
The Dubliner Irish Whiskey has released a Limited Edition 10 Year Old Single Malt Whiskey, distilled in copper pot stills and 100% matured in oak casks that previously held Kentucky Bourbon.
Sinead O’ Frighil, irish whiskies marketing manager at Quintessential Brands, owners of The Dubliner, says: “The Dubliner Irish Whiskey has had an incredible start launching at Dublin Airport last year and sales to date in Ireland, Australia and the USA have been really encouraging. We are delighted to be introducing this limited edition expression to The Dubliner range. It is well known that the growth of Irish whiskies is at an exciting stage and we have high hopes for our approachable and smooth 10 Year Old Single Malt in domestic and travel retail markets internationally – it’s a beautiful whiskey!”
The Dubliner 10 Year Old (ABV 42%) is made from 100% malted barley and matured in 100% Bourbon Oak Casks. According to its tasting notes it has a sweet, slightly spicy aroma with overtones of vanilla, honey and perfume notes. It is said to be characterful and complex and has a rich, malty flavour with a smoothness and warmth at the end and a hint of chocolate and vanilla coming through. While the finish is long and smooth, slightly dry, with hints of toffee, chocolate and vanilla at the end.
